What: Hike across Haiti - Furcy to Perado
When: July 31 - August 2, 2015 (2-1/2 days hiking)
Who: From Jacmel: Will, Satchel, Fallon, Luke the Intern, Quinton, and Loguely.
From Gran Gwav: Joel, Canes, Louisnes, Odlin, Luckson, Etzer, Major and myself(Sean).
Why: Because Haiti is beautiful, awesome and we are made for adventure!
Distance: about 26.6 miles
This trek is probably the most famous hike in all of Haiti. I have desired to do this hike for years and am grateful for Will for spearheading this adventure.
I'm so proud of our group. With the distance, climate change, lack of overall experience, lack of the typical outdoor gear and the terrain, I'm blown away by the young men's effort, persistence and overall great attitudes. Special love and respect for my Major, at 10 years old, for completing this hike with little complaining and taking everything like a champ!
The sites from this hike are really more than my feeble words can express. So with that, I figured a pictorial review of this experience would likely do this journey more justice.

At Winnie's Guesthouse you have the option of sleeping inside or enjoying a more primitive option. We opted for the tents and hammocks.
